Dance People is brought to you by Ovations Global Network Inc., a Black led 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Our mission lies in harnessing the culturally unifying nature of dance, while marrying it with our passion for meaningful pedagogy, reliable community, and art so damn good it’ll make your face melt. Our classes double as mutual aid hubs activated through our various local mutual aid collaborators.
Currently we facilitate a bus pass program in collaboration with M.A.D (Mutual Aid Distribution WPB), collect materials goods towards our community center partners (Compass Center & The Joy & Liberation Centers), and classes are pay what you can or free for anyone who needs it!
Our promise is to tell all stories—not just our own. To teach in a way that fosters independence, filled with discovery. And to create art that brings people together and inspires us to think, act courageously, and DANCE!

What The Punk Fest is an international Gay Urban Dance Festival celebrating iconic dance, music and club culture. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 Most if not all of the dance cultures this festival aims to preserve and pass on are born from children of the African diaspora.
A large part of our community is mutual aid. Every single class, every single day, all year long, we collect material goods that goes straight to our community partners like Compass (south Florida’s oldest continuously running LGBTQ+ center) M.A.D (Mutual Aid Distribution West Palm Beach serving the unhoused) and The Joy and Liberation Centers (serving our TJGNCNB community and their families).
The actual festival weekend includes… A welcome party, full day of workshops and lecture demonstrations, and our Sister Styles Gala Punking & Voguing. The real work is what’s done all year long. Through our growing coalition of community partners whose missions align, we are able to offer monthly classes locally, and travel to other cities to nourish their communities, as well as offer master classes overseas. It is my sincere hope you are interested in being one of our partners.
Our classes are deeply affirming, they draw out authenticity, illicit joy, and offer immediate community. If this environment would serve your patrons in any way, then we should definitely set up a class or see if you’re available for one of our already scheduled events to be guests.
This liberation program aims to be accessible, regardless of age, sexuality, gender, race, or experience level. All freaks, geeks, fairies, and floor rockers are encouraged to join this family.
